Until recently, I never used an email signature in my personal email account. I actually think they’re a little pretentious
I mean, really, why use extra space to convey what most people already know? Sounds a little like narcissism to me.

Twitter was clearly mocking me and I rebelled for an entire two months before I gave into boredom and the pull of popular culture (although I am proud to say I jumped on the bandwagon before Oprah and Ashton). Yes, I am easily swayed. I am not ashamed.

I recently had a brief exchange with a high-school friend about the growing number of women, and by extension men, whom have children, but no spouse.
The conversation evolved from a Facebook status in which he quoted a Common (the rapper) lyric: “There’s too many Black woman who can say that they’re mothers, but can’t say they’re wives.”
