My local paper, The Columbus Dispatch, recently ran a multi-article expose on domestic violence cases within the state of Ohio.

According to the series, most domestic violence cases, unsurprisingly, involve women and children, although men are not unaffected.

In addition, despite an overwhelmingly large number of cases within Ohio and the United States, most domestic violence cases still remain unreported.

Twenty years ago today, the AIDS virus was officially recognized by the federal government as a global epidemic.

Twenty years later, AIDS is classified as a pandemic and is the leading cause of the death and disease in women ages 15 to 44.

So, the world is up in arms about Miss California’s response in the Miss USA Pageant regarding her views on gay marriage.

If you didn’t know, she opposes. Bet you didn’t know California, despite Proposition 8’s popularity, bred anything other than die-hard liberals, did you?
